Itinerary
The day before your trip, your RMHC guide will meet with you to double-check you have everything you need to make your adventure as enjoyable as possible.
Day 1: We'll meet at the East Inlet Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park at 4pm and begin our 5-mile evening hike to the Gray Jay Group campground. This hike intentionally begins later in the day so that we can practice hiking into the evening without rushing to beat the light. We'll set up camp and enjoy dinner and dessert!
Day 2: The morning will start off with a mountain breakfast and hot beverage and make our way to Lone Pine Lake. We'll be leaving all of our gear behind for this day hike so that we can fully enjoy everything the hike has to offer., without carrying extra weight. The hike to Lake Verna is 2 miles from camp and sits at an elevation of 10,300 feet, we'll then hike to Spirit Lake (also at 10,300 feet) where we can enjoy lunch and soak our feet in the alpine water. After lunch, we'll make our way back to our campsite (making for 6 miles round trip). When the sun is setting, we'll grab our dessert and go on our short hike towards Lake Verna to continue experiencing the trail at night.
Day 3: After waking up and enjoying breakfast and coffee or tea, we'll break camp and make our way back to the trailhead.
