Women's Backpacking Trip in Rocky Mountain National Park
September 6th - 8th
"You cannot go wrong booking with RMHC, they are amazing at making you feel comfortable and confident on the trail." - Joanna W.
Join us on a women's three-day, two-night basecamp backpacking trip in Rocky Mountain National Park! This trip is for women who want to spend time in the wilderness, feel challenged by the mileage, and have some downtime in the evenings.
Hiking Itinerary
The week before your hiking trip, your RMHC backpacking guide will contact you to double-check you have everything you need to make your adventure as enjoyable as possible.
Day 1 (9 Miles): We'll meet at the Finch Lake Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park at 5:30 am and begin our approximately 5 mile hike to Finch Lake. We'll set up our basecamp here, which is where we'll camp for both nights. After setting up camp, we'll hike to Pear Lake, another 4 miles roundtrip. After returning back to camp at Finch Lake, we'll enjoy dinner and dessert.
Day 2 (8 Miles): Today we'll hike from our basecamp, Finch Lake, to Ouzel Falls (a portion of this hike will be along the same trail we hiked to camp on the first day). The entire point of today is to HAVE FUN outside hiking, eating yummy snacks, and being together! Preferably without our phones, unless it's for picture taking :)
Day 3 (5 Miles): After waking up, chilling + chatting over coffee and tea, we'll pack our things up, and meander back to the trailhead.
